5 Biggest technology concerns

Piracy has recently become an issue. I feel that this does not really affect me very much but others may have issues with it. Privacy is always a concern. Though it is important to be able to track down criminals online it is an issue that companies can store everything that you ever do.
Having cybersecurity is important so that the technoligiy that we rely on does not prove ot be our destruction at the hands of others. I do not believe that the government should regulate cybersecurity. It will be impotant in the upcoming years to work with STEM so that we can continue to have our counties economy grow in the services sector.
The government does monitor much of what the citizens do. They employ many private contractors to make technologies to help see what the people are doing. Recently with the Petraeus issue it has become more clear that the government can easily see what we are doing and they are constatnly asking companies to see what records they have of peoples actions.
There are many laws that are outdated in relation to government involvement in personal technologies that will soon come before congress so that they can set new laws for the people. The government has also started to try to censor many things online and to stop piracy but they have been faced with largescale opposition from people thinking it infringes on their right of speech.

Tech Read and Write #2

In the videos that we watched there were many interesting things. It is kind of crazy that ther are so many open jobs in the U.S. but we don't have the right pepole to fill them. we actually have many open jobs in manufacturing that have not been outsourced to China or Mexico. It is and interesting problem that the companis do not have the right people to employ but they do not want to spend the money to train them.

I do not know what I want to do for my career. Though I do not know what I want to do I am trying to get the greatest education that I can. I also have plans to go to college and go from there for a career.

BWPD Project #2

I learned that social media is taking over the world. Soon your social media identities will be intergrated into your phone. Your phone and apps will also automatically update where you are and your activities with things like Foursquare. Large businesses will also use internal social media to share ideas and what is happening with the company

There are many positives and negatives with these technological advancements. They will make it easier for people to share what they are doing with their freinds. It also will make it for companies to be more efficient and do business better because the different branches of a company will be more able to share their ideas and information to make things run smoother. On the negative it will make it easier for hackers and thieves to steal personal information. Also people could become more addicted to their electronic toys and spend too much time dealing with them and not get anything else done in their life.

The world is turning to social media so I need to learn more about the various types and sites to keep up in the world. I found that in the article there were many sites and functions of sites that I had never heard of before. I also need to be careful and make sure that I do not give away too much personal information about myself on the web. I need to keep up in the world of technology and now how to be safest on the web.

I believe that there is a few key differences between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. Web 2.0 is how we use the internet today with things like Facebook and other interactive connective sites. Web 2.0 also allows common people without knowledge of HTML coding to create their own sites. Web 2.0 uses broadband where 1.0 used dial up.
